Problem Statement
The organization needed to raise awareness among staff about the complex socio-cultural and political issues surrounding human rights in host countries, while promoting empathy and understanding of women’s situations.
Our Work
Artha created a digital game using Articulate Storyline 360 and Adobe Creative Suite. The game aimed to:
Develop empathy among staff towards women seeking medical support.
Highlight challenges in obtaining medical aid in sub-Saharan Africa.
Demonstrate the negative impact of community attitudes on health outcomes.
Provide accessible training without requiring a physical setting or in-person facilitator.
The game featured custom graphics resembling the native people and ambience of sub-Saharan Africa, and was designed to be lightweight and responsive for use in remote areas. User surveys showed that players gained cultural awareness and sensitivity through the realistic choices and consequences presented in the game. The success of this project has led to plans for creating more scenario-based games for various situations.
