What this session covers

Most instructional designers have used AI to draft a paragraph or rewrite an objective. The larger gain comes from integrating it across the whole process — needs analysis, outlines, storyboards, assessments — through reusable systems that fit how you and your team actually work.

This masterclass is practical and hands-on rather than technical. Over 2 hours of live virtual instruction you will work through the outcomes below, using one course, module, or design document currently in progress as the raw material.

• Turn raw source content and SME material into structured design documents faster, without losing instructional intent.
• Build reusable prompts, templates, and style guides so output stays consistent across a project and a team.

• Decide where AI belongs in your design process — and where it costs more time than it saves.

No automation platform, coding environment, or technical integration is required.

Before you join

Prerequisites

No programming, data-science, or technical AI development experience is required. Participants should:

• Have a basic understanding of generative AI
• Ideally have access to an organization-approved AI account
• Bring a laptop for hands-on activities
• Come prepared with one course, module, or design document currently in progress
• Use only non-confidential, anonymized, or organization-approved information during activities
