This award recognizes the outstanding success and impact of the Certificate in People Analytics, a program we were proud to help design and deliver.
Addressing a National Skills Gap
The digital transformation of HR is no longer a future concept—it’s a present-day reality. However, a significant gap exists between the demand for data-driven HR and the skills required to deliver it. Our initial research revealed a striking disconnect: while 71% of companies identified People Analytics as a high priority, a staggering 90% of businesses felt they could do a better job of using their workforce data.
York University’s School of Continuing Studies recognized this gap as a crucial opportunity to empower the next generation of HR leaders. We were honored to partner with them to bring that vision to life.
A Winning Design for Real-World Impact
Working closely with York University, we co-designed a three-course certificate that equips professionals with tangible, in-demand skills. The program was evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts and Brandon Hall Group™ analysts based on its design, functionality, innovation, and measurable benefits.
The curriculum guides learners from foundational concepts, like building HR dashboards, to advanced applications like predictive modeling. It culminates in a capstone project where learners tackle a real organizational challenge, applying their new skills to develop evidence-based recommendations for executive audiences. As one graduate noted, “The capstone helped me build a full analytics solution at work—something I presented to my VP team”.

Delivering Measurable Success
The program’s success has been remarkable. Today, it boasts over 200 graduates who are making a significant impact across multiple sectors. The outcomes speak volumes about the program’s quality and relevance:
- 95% of alumni would recommend the program to their peers.
- 76% reported developing new skills that directly supported their career goals.
